Atlantic Health System Child Care AssistanceAtlantic Health Child Care Benefits

Atlantic Health realizes that outside the work environment, parents are also charged with the full-time responsibility of taking care of their families. Many senior leaders within Atlantic Health are parents themselves, and they know how difficult it can be to balance with an already hectic workload.

Since 1996, the YMCA has provided full-day care and education for the children of Atlantic Health employees in Morristown, Newton, Summit, Pompton Plains, and Hackettstown, New Jersey. Over time, this dedication has resulted in additional benefits and incentives that are geared towards helping parents on their team. This can be an excellent way of improving employee retention, but beyond that, the company believes that it is promoting a healthy work-life balance for its employees.

Each dedicated Child Care center is only open to children of Atlantic Health employees, attending physicians and their staff. The Children’s Corner at 24,000 square is the largest and is deemed as a state-of-the-art facility. Here are some of the features of Children’s Corner:

Professional Security for Workers – Every facility is guarded by professional security. This, in turn, assures parents and non-parents employees of the safety of their kids.

Certified Teachers – All teachers are certified to handle children and help them learn quickly. Also, classes are divided into small group sizes for more personalized interaction with children

Spacious Playground for Kids of Employees – Each Child Care Center includes spacious outdoor playgrounds that are shaded from harsh weather conditions and other environmental hazards

State Approved Curriculum – To keep kids of Atlantic Health employees up-to-date, these dedicated Child Care centers all have adopted a state-approved innovative curriculum.

Additional Child Care Activities – Atlantic Health staff can also expect that their children will have access to additional activities, including weekly swim lessons at YMCA, dance, music, sports skills, etc. These extra-curricular activities are creatively designed to provide an avenue for physical and mental exercise for the kids.
